US stocks close: Tesla recorded its best one-day gain in 11 years

On October 25th, the U.S. stock market closed on Thursday, with the Dow initially closing down 0.3%, the S & P 500 index rose 0.2% and the Nasdaq index rose 0.76%. Tesla (TSLA. O) rose 21.9%, its best one-day gain since May 2013, and its market value increased by about 150 billion US dollars. IBM (IBM. N) fell more than 6% and NVIDIA (NVDA. O) rose 0.6%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon index closed down 0.8%, Alibaba (BABA. N) fell 1.7%, Zaiding Pharmaceutical (ZLAB. O) rose 14% and XPeng Motors (XPEV. N) fell 6%.
