DRW Venture Capital founder Don Wilson said in an interview with Coindesk that some lawmakers and regulators, such as Senator Elizabeth Warren, are hostile to cryptocurrencies, and DRW's legal counsel Chelsea Pizzola also said that the company's attempt to register its crypto broker-dealer Cumberland Securities LLC with FINRA (also responsible for regulating the U.S. market) was also rejected, and the company is not the only one that has said it has tried to register and acquire broker-dealers and has been trying to go the compliance route for years.
