Canadian cryptographer Peter Todd has been forced into hiding after being identified as Satoshi Nakamoto in the HBO documentary Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery.
Todd said documentary filmmaker Cullen Hoback used misleading evidence to reach the wrong conclusion and exposed him to security threats that could lead to dangerous acts such as kidnapping and robbery. Todd said he agreed to appear in the HBO documentary because he thought it was about the history of Bitcoin, not an attempt to uncover the truth.
