Bitcoin miner Core Scientific announced the expansion of its escrow contract with artificial intelligence computing company CoreWeave, adding 120 trillion watts (MW) of power for high-performance computing (HPC) operations, bringing total capacity to 500 MW. The partnership is expected to generate $8.70 billion in revenue for Core Scientific over the next 12 years. All infrastructure upgrades will be funded by CoreWeave, with an investment of $180 million. The expansion will help Core Scientific further diversify its revenue streams and enhance its AI service capabilities after the bankruptcy reorganization.
