Russia's sovereign wealth fund, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), and the country's crypto mining company BitRiver announced at the BRICS Business Forum in Moscow on October 18, 2024 that they will cooperate to build data centers in the BRICS countries.
Igor Runets, CEO of BitRiver, said that it will cooperate with RDIF to create infrastructure based on crypto mining, build data centers and connect corresponding computing power to deploy and implement artificial intelligence projects.
