Sandbox AQ, an artificial intelligence startup spun out of Alphabet Inc., is seeking a new round of equity funding at a valuation of more than $5 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. The company is in talks with potential investors, the people said. The valuation of more than $5 billion is the valuation before the financing, which means it does not include the amount raised. Terms of the deal have not been finalized.
