On October 17, Base co-founder Jesse Pollak revealed that the Base research team has launched a proof-of-concept (POC) for the cross-L2 calling standard RIP-7755. The standard is designed to enable seamless cross-chain interoperability between different Ethereum Layer 2 networks, particularly mainstream Layer 2 networks such as Optimism and Arbitrum.
Jack Chuma, a member of the Base research team, said that the proof-of-concept of RIP-7755 is suitable for blockchains compliant with the EIP-4788 standard, and has been able to verify the state of the OP Stack chain and Arbitrum.
