SCB Bank of Thailand to Launch Stablecoin Cross-Border Transfer Service

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), an established Thai bank, has announced that it will partner with Lightnet, a fintech company, to provide customers with a stablecoin cross-border transfer and money transfer service. The service allows customers to conduct cross-border transactions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and significantly reduces transaction costs. It is reported that the service has passed the regulatory sandbox test of the Bank of Thailand.
