Sandy Peng, a WLFI consultant and co-founder of the Scroll Blockchain Network, blamed the outage on excessive traffic and said: "The team didn't expect this level of attention." The World Liberty Financial website (the official portal for the WLFI token sale) received 72 million unique visits within the first hour after it went live. The website was taken offline due to excessive traffic, but then went back online intermittently, apparently switching to a new web hosting service.
