U.S. stocks close: Nvidia nears new highs, China index falls 2%

On October 15, U.S. stocks closed on Monday, with the Dow initially closing up 0.47% and the S & P 500 up 0.78%, both setting new closing highs. The Nasdaq rose 0.87%. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) rose 2.4%, close to a record high, and Apple (AAPL. O) rose 1.6%. The Nasdaq China Gold Dragon closed down 2%, Alibaba (BABA. N) fell 2%, XPeng Motors (XPEV. N) fell nearly 10%, and Bilibili (BILI. O) fell more than 3%.
