A man sentenced to a home jail term for allegedly participating in a $180 million cryptocurrency scam scheme appears to have gotten away after tampering with an ankle monitor, according to New York prosecutors. The committal hearing service alerted the government about 12 hours after Jicha's anklet stopped working, almost immediately seeking a warrant for the fugitive's arrest.
