Karate Combat, a karate league brand, will launch its Hedera Layer 2 network called UP in Quarter 1, 2025. Karate Combat will enable the league to license its Up Only Gaming technology stack to other sports, leagues and projects, and even Meme coins. Karate Combat co-founder said there are currently 20 to 30 projects launching on the company's upcoming Layer 2 network.
UP plans to launch a token next year, and a portion of its total supply will be allocated to a grant program designed to help early builders of the network. In addition, 30% of the total UP token supply will be allocated back into the wallets of KARATE token holders. Exactly how it will work remains to be determined.
