On October 11, Christine Kim, vice president of research at Galaxy, summarized the 198th Ethereum Core Developer Execution (ACDE) conference call. This week, developers discussed the possible inclusion of EIP 7782 and 7783 in Pectra. The former recommends reducing the slot time from 12 seconds to 8 seconds, and the latter recommends a new mechanism to increase the block gas fee limit. The developers have not yet made a decision on whether to include these two mechanisms in Pectra or future upgrades;
The deadline for submitting Pectra system contract audit proposals is October 11, and accepted proposals will be confirmed by October 22 at the latest.
The developers decided to include the EIP6110 update in Devnet4.
Developers agree to try to launch PectraDevnet4 before the Core Developer Consensus (ACDC) conference call on October 17.
In addition, developers are considering a name for the public Pectra testnet. Several naming suggestions that community members have made include Moo Deng and Khlong.
