Strategists at BlackRock said in a note that a rapid rate cut by the Fed was less likely as the outlook for economic growth remained stable. "We believe the Fed has room to lower rates to 3.5 per cent or slightly higher by early 2025," they said. BlackRock said the Fed's September meeting notes also indicated a gradual rate cut. "We expect monetary policy normalisation, not monetary policy easing.
