The Mt. Gox official announced today that the bankruptcy administrator has basically completed the compensation work for the bankruptcy creditors who have completed the necessary procedures for receiving compensation and have not encountered any problems during the compensation process.
However, many insolvency creditors have not yet completed the formalities required to receive repayment, and therefore have not received repayment; in addition, a significant number of insolvency creditors have not received repayment temporarily due to various problems in the repayment process.
In order to make as reasonable a payment as possible to these bankruptcy creditors, the insolvency representative, with the permission of the court, changed the deadline for payment of compensation from October 31, 2024 (Japan Standard Time) to October 31, 2025 (Japan Standard Time).
