The Linea Forum launched a decentralized proposal discussion, covering verification, consensus, and reward distribution

The Linea Forum on the Ethereum L2 network initiated a discussion on the Linea Decentralization Proposal. The proposal states that its goal is to make Linea a fully decentralized L2 chain, and outlines some important proposals to achieve this goal, including decentralization of block validation, recovery models, block proponents, finalization of Linea blocks on L1, reward distribution, and more. In order to decouple reward distribution from the consensus protocol, validators need to build a consensus-state Merkle tree that represents the different actions done by each participant, including voting and block proposals, the proposal states.
