According to The Block data, Solana accounted for 96,010 of the 110,180 new tokens issued on all the tracking chains as of September 30 this year, accounting for more than 87% of all new tokens appearing on the DEX.
The number of new tokens on the Solana blockchain has skyrocketed from near-zero levels in early 2024 to consistently more than 100,000 per month by mid-year. While Solana is leading the pack, Base is also performing well. Together, the two chains account for more than 80% of new token issuance since April.
