According to two sources familiar with the matter, Dmitry Tokarev, the CEO of cryptocurrency custodian Copper, plans to step down from the company's day-to-day operations and step down as CEO.
The digital asset custodian, whose chairperson is Philip Hammond, the former UK chancellor of the exchequer, is looking for a successor, according to a person familiar with the matter. Tokarev, who helped found the company in 2018, remains a significant shareholder and will be deeply involved in the business, the person said.
Last month, Copper founding partner and chief business officer Boris Bohrer-Bilowitzki left to become CEO of blockchain firm Concordium. Mike Milner, who spent five years at the company and was head of global revenue, also left to join Concordium.
