On September 25th, XProtocol, a modular entertainment blockchain, announced that it will launch XForge, a gaming phone based on Ethereum L3, priced at $299. XForge is an Android smartphone optimized for gaming, which can use the L3 network to earn rewards and participate in airdrops. In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, XForge will also come with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. As an L3 network, Xprotocol is currently built on top of Base, the layer 2 scaling network launched by Coinbase on Ethereum.
Meanwhile, XProtocol says it offers a "free node" to the first 10,000 XForge buyers.
