Societe Generale has announced a partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Bitpanda to jointly advance the mainstream adoption of its euro stablecoin, EUR CoinVertible (EURCV).
Jean-Mark Stenger, CEO of Societe General-FORGE, a blockchain subsidiary of Societe Generale, said: "This collaboration is a key step in realizing our vision to provide stable, secure and easily accessible digital currencies to European users." The collaboration coincides with the imminent full implementation of the European Union's Crypto Asset Market Regulation Act (MiCA), the first comprehensive regulatory framework for the crypto industry, which will come into force on December 30.
