Coinbase user's lawsuit against securities claims is being re examined in the appeal

The US appeals court has re examined a 2021 user lawsuit against Coinbase Inc., accusing the cryptocurrency trading platform of facilitating unregistered securities sales. The US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit stated on Friday that the New York federal judge who dismissed the lawsuit last year should not rely on the December 2021 user agreement, as Coinbase has updated the language of the previous version. The appeal panel composed of three judges will refer the case back to the district court to determine which user agreement should be used when deciding whether to dismiss the class action lawsuit.
