Pyth released an announcement on the X platform, launching an upgraded version of Oracle Integrity Staking (OIS) for Pyth, designed to enhance the reliability of data sources and the security of the DeFi ecosystem.
OIS encourages publishers and PYTH holders to participate in staking by introducing on-chain staking reward and penalty mechanisms to ensure the security of the oracle network.
Publishers can be rewarded for providing high-quality data, and penalized if the data goes wrong. In addition, PYTH holders can pledge and entrust to publishers to enhance profits.
The Pyth DAO will be responsible for overseeing critical updates and parameters for the OIS.
