The three major U.S. stock indexes closed up and down, all recording two consecutive weekly gains. The Dow rose 0.09%, setting a new high and rising 1.61% this week; the S & P 500 fell 0.19%, rising 1.36% this week; the Nasdaq fell 0.36%, rising 1.49% this week.
