The US House of Representatives voted unanimously on September 20 local time with 405 votes in favor and 0 votes against a bill aimed at strengthening the protection of the US Secret Service for major US presidential and vice presidential candidates. The bill is called the Enhanced Presidential Security Act. The bill directs the director of the US Secret Service to adopt uniform standards to protect the president, vice president, and major presidential and vice presidential candidates of the United States.
