Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz made a startling claim Thursday that at least five known assassination squads in the United States are plotting to assassinate Trump.
Mr. Gates said he had been told by a senior DHS official that there were five assassination plots against Mr. Trump before his latest assassination attempt on Sunday at the West Palm Beach golf course. "We know that three of them are foreign and two of them are domestic, and that requires a force to protect him that is not with Mr. Trump right now," Mr. Gates said, adding that DHS officials were "aware of this and concerned that the Secret Service was not providing sufficient support."
