Grapecoin CEO sued for profiting 21.6 billion Korean won from issuing fraudulent currency Grapecoin

The virtual asset crime joint investigation team of the South Korean prosecutor's office announced on Friday that Mr. A, the person in charge of issuing "Grapecoin" to defraud investors of over 20 billion Korean won, has been detained and transferred for trial. According to prosecutors, Mr. A is suspected of issuing fraudulent currency Grapecoin in December 2020, raising prices through false advertising and market manipulation, and then selling it to ordinary investors on the exchange, earning a profit of approximately 21.6 billion Korean won.
