On April 5th, Reuters reported that the Biden administration plans to put pressure on the Netherlands next week to prevent Dutch lithography machine manufacturer ASML from providing maintenance services for some tools and equipment in China, citing two sources familiar with the situation. Reuters reported that according to informed sources, Alan Estevez, who is responsible for the US government's export policy, plans to meet with representatives of the Dutch government and ASML in the Netherlands next Monday to discuss contract issues related to maintenance services. During this period, Washington may also seek to add a list of Chinese chip manufacturers prohibited from receiving Dutch tool equipment.
