On September 13, the carbon neutrality blockchain platform Open Forest Protocol (OFP) completed a seed round of financing, led by Übermorgen Ventures, and participated in the investment by BackBone Ventures, GS Futures, and foundations such as Bloom Foundation, NEAR Foundation, and Foundation Valery. The specific financing amount has not been disclosed yet.
"OFP is a comprehensive digital overhaul of carbon credit verification and issuance, providing carbon developers with an upfront cost, open source, web-based and blockchain-based verification system that enables them to bring transparent, verifiable and valuable carbon credits to market," the team said. "This is critical to the future of natural assets on the OFP chain."
