On September 12, it was reported that Flowcarbon, a blockchain carbon credit platform co-founded by Wework founder Adam Neumann, is refunding investors after its once highly anticipated "Goddess Nature Token" (GNT) failed to issue.
Some of the refunds have been issued in "recent weeks" after investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, a technology venture capital firm, waited more than a year without seeing their tokens launched.
Flowcarbon informed investors that market conditions and resistance from carbon registries were the main reasons for the refunds. Flowcarbon does not appear to have publicly disclosed its refunds, with a Flowcarbon spokesperson saying: "Since last year, we have been offering refunds to retail GNT purchasers on standard and customary terms and we continue to develop Flowcarbon as a leader in carbon finance."
