After the first debate with current Vice President Kamala Harris, the Meme coin, which was issued inspired by former President Donald Trump, was sold off.
According to CoinGecko, the overall market capitalization of the PolitiFi sector is around $535 million, down 9% in the past 24 hours. Political Finance (or PolitiFi for short) is a meme coin inspired by political figures and has no official affiliation with any political figure.
Among them, MAGA (TRUMP) fell by 16%. Super Trump (STRUMP) fell by 10%, MAGA Hat (MAGA) and Doland Tremp (TREMP) fell by 22% and 28% respectively. Other Trump-centric tokens also suffered a significant sell-off (i.e. at least 20%), including Dark MAGA (DMAGA), Fight to MAGA (FIGHT). Kamala Horris (KAMA) tokens fell by about 11%. Peter Chung, head of research at Presto, said: "Harris appears to have performed better than expected in the debate so far, and the market has shown a knee-jerk reaction to it."
