On September 9th, mempool founder @mononautical posted on X that Fractal Bitcoin went live on the mainnet a few hours ago. This appears to be a hastily "cloned" copy of Bitcoin Core v24.0.1, with some consensus tweaks and some code "copied" from namecoin and bcash. At the same time, premine tokens account for 50% of Fractal Bitcoin's fully diluted supply. If all goes according to plan, it will take miners a full two years (a Fractal Bitcoin halving range) to earn half of the founders' first-day reward.
And Fractal Bitcoin's Litepaper contains a lot of meaningless technical terms about "virtualization," "recursively," "scaling in layers," but the actual deployment bears little resemblance.
Therefore, in his opinion, this is just another shitfork.
