ChatGPT Enterprise Edition Paying Users Break Through 1 million

OpenAI said Thursday that paid users of ChatGPT Enterprise have broken through 1 million, indicating that demand for its chatbots from businesses is still growing. The figure includes the total number of people who have signed up to use ChatGPT Team and Enterprise services, which are for companies as well as university personnel who use ChatGPT Edu products. OpenAI had said in April that it had 600,000 enterprise ChatGPT users. OpenAI launched ChatGPT Enterprise a year ago with additional features and privacy protections in the hope of boosting revenue and offsetting the high costs of developing AI products. The company launched ChatGPT Team for smaller companies in January. While OpenAI's paid enterprise users have increased significantly this year, it is unclear how many new businesses have signed up. OpenAI said nearly half of enterprise users are located in the United States.
