Ripple to launch USD stablecoin

Blockchain company Ripple has announced that it will launch a stablecoin in the US dollar. Ripple will first launch its stablecoin in the US, but it does not rule out offering other regional stablecoins in non US markets such as Europe and Asia. Ripple stated that stablecoins will always be supported by equivalent assets of the company's reserves (US dollar deposits, US government bonds, and cash equivalents) in a 1:1 ratio. The cryptocurrency company stated that its reserves will be included in the publicly available monthly certification report.
