Crypto lender Nexo has resumed accepting U.K. customer registrations after a series of upgrades to meet compliance requirements from U.K. financial watchdog, the Financial Conduct Authority.
The upgrade was implemented in partnership with Gateway 21, the FCA-mandated and regulated financial promotion approval authority, and the changes include a cooling-off period and dedicated risk warnings for UK clients. Users are also required to complete an investor classification questionnaire and appropriateness assessment before using the platform, which has become standard practice for cryptocurrency firms serving UK clients.
