Global digital asset custodian company BitGo announced that its South Korean subsidiary BitGo Korea has introduced Hana Financial Group and South Korean telecom company SK Telecom as strategic investors. Hana Financial and SK Telecom have acquired a 25% and 10% stake in BitGo Korea, respectively. BitGo currently has about $70 billion in assets under custody and about $3 trillion in cumulative assets processed. BitGo Korea is applying for ISMS certification and VASP qualification. Hana Financial will strengthen user protection through cooperation, and SK Telecom plans to combine its authentication and security technology with BitGo services.
