Ripple will launch a new token standard "MPT" on XRP Ledger this month, designed to enhance its support for real-world assets (RWA). Jasmine Cooper, head of DeFi products at Ripple, explained that MPT is specifically designed for RWA to store metadata directly alongside assets.
