Stacks Nakamoto在本月升级成功后，根据新的共识规则，奖励将减半，每个比特币区块仅奖励500枚STX代币。按计划，官方预计在Stacks区块高度861500进行硬分叉，激活全部Stacks Nakamoto新规则，在提升Stacks网络效率的同时，同步实现产量减半。从目前的区块高度计算，升级预计在9月15日左右成功完成。
据悉，当前Stacks区块链采用POX挖矿机制，矿工质押比特币，奖励STX代币，每个比特币区块奖励1000枚STX代币。
