Messari released LayerZero's Q2 2024 status report. LayerZero added support for 12 new networks, enabling the transfer of $5 billion crypto assets, and the average value of each transfer increased by 78% to more than $400. Transfers on the Ethereum network increased by 26% month-on-month to $913 million, mainly due to the Dencun upgrade to reduce gas fees and the introduction of full-chain re-staking. On June 20, LayerZero airdropped ZRO tokens to 1.28 million eligible wallets, using anti-witch attack measures and "proof of donation" mechanism. In the second quarter, LayerZero supported more than 50,000 full-chain application (OApp) contract deployments, covering gaming, DeFi, AI and other fields. LayerZero currently supports secure communication on more than 80 networks, providing interoperability solutions for full-chain applications.
