Game developer Nexon plans to launch token NXPC through its blockchain subsidiary

NEXPAC, a blockchain subsidiary of South Korean video game developer Nexon, has announced the launch of a cryptocurrency to enhance customer engagement and drive the development of its Web3 gaming ecosystem called MapleStory Universe. According to the relevant announcement, the token, named NXPC, is designed to incentivize players and community members to contribute to the creation of game content, allowing contributors to interact with in-game items in the game, promoting "the natural flow of community-driven growth". Although no further details have been disclosed at this time, it is said that the NXPC token is expected to be released based on the Avalanche blockchain.
