8月28日消息，根据澳大利亚联邦警察（AFP）的一份新报告，在过去的12个月里，澳大利亚人因加密诈骗损失了1.22亿美元（1.8亿澳元），其中大多数受害者年龄在50岁以下。在8月28日的一份声明中，AFP透露，去年投资骗局共造成2.69亿美元（3.82亿澳元）损失，其中约47%与加密货币有关。
