欧盟正对社交媒体平台Telegram提供的在欧用户数量相关数据进行准确性审查，以确定是否应对其在欧盟的运营方式制定严规则。Telegram今年2月对欧盟表示，其在欧拥有4100万月活用户，略低于欧盟《数字服务法》设定的每月4500万的“超大型在线平台（VLOP）”门槛。欧盟委员会表示：“如果我们有疑问，就像现在这种情况.... ......我们可以启动调查，看看他们使用了什么方法。”欧盟委员会称，如果其认为数据不准确，而Telegram确实达到了用户数量门槛，那么该机构有权单方面指定后者为“超大型在线平台”。 (英国金融时报)
