Golden Ten Futures, August 26th. Shipping company Maersk said it will adjust the peak season surcharge for the E1W route based on the current situation in the Red Sea/Gulf of Aden. The company said that the situation in the Red Sea continues to cause chaos across the industry, including port delays. We are experiencing industry-wide equipment and capacity shortages, as well as long-term additional costs and strong customer demand, the company said. Due to market developments, the price change will take effect from September 15, 2024.
