Archived data as of August 24, 2024 shows that over the past three days, Foundry USA and Antpool have emerged as the dominant force in bitcoin mining, collectively controlling 56.7% of the network's total hashrate. Foundry and Antpool in particular benefited from this week's spike in fees, which resulted in much higher block fees than usual.
As of now, the total hashrate of the Bitcoin network hovers around 651 EH/s, and Foundry has contributed around 215.79 EH/s in the past three days. In the past seven days, it has maintained a strong hashrate contribution of around 199.02 EH/s. The second-ranked Antpool has contributed 153.55 EH/s in three days and 162.55 EH/s in seven days.
Back in January, Foundry's hashrate contribution was 140.26 EH/s, and it is currently up 75.53 EH/s. In comparison, Antpool's growth has been more stable, at 147.40 EH/s at the beginning of the year, but it has maintained its position as the second largest mining pool throughout 2024.
In the past three days, two major mining pools, Foundry USA and Antpool, controlled 56.7% of bitcoin hashrate.
