A user lost $150,000 worth of ETH due to Polygon Community Discord attack

On August 24th, according to Cointelegraph, the Polygon community Discord was attacked today. Hackers pretended to be support staff and posted scam links. A community user @ValidatorK disclosed that he lost $150,000 worth of ETH in this incident. The user accused Polygon of not officially releasing the Discord hack issue on official channels such as X, and so far has not disclosed how to take responsibility. The timing of this incident is particularly worrying for Polygon, as Polygon is currently undergoing a major network upgrade to replace its token code.
