According to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, CZ is expected to be released on September 29. But parts of the crypto community seem to have wrongly and prematurely celebrated the crypto entrepreneur's freedom.
The confusion may be due in part to CZ's move this week from a minimum-security prison in Southern California to RRM Long Beach, a residential program that prepares inmates nearing the end of their sentences to reintegrate into society. RRM, or the Office of Reintegration Management, is often referred to as a "halfway house."
From technical analysis, some Twitter users claimed that CZ has been released from prison, which is correct. But he is certainly still in the custody of the US government and cannot move freely. And by the end of September, CZ should be able to move freely and possibly return to Dubai to be reunited with his family.
