On August 22nd, according to CoinDesk, the controversial crypto firm Prometheum plans to treat the tokens of Uniswap (UNI) and Arbitrum (ARB) as securities and include them in its custody services. As a crypto platform registered with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), Prometheum is expanding its custody business and will hold UNI and ARB in addition to ETH of Ethereum. Despite the disagreement between the crypto industry and the SEC on the stance of tokens as securities, Prometheum has chosen to follow the regulator's requirements and plans to officially launch its custody services in September.
