The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered the reporter's question on the disclosure of the final ruling of the European Union's anti-subsidy investigation against China's electric vehicles

On August 20, the Chinese side has pointed out many times that the EU's anti-subsidy investigation into China's electric vehicles presupposes a conclusion, and its practices in all aspects of the investigation violate its commitment to the principles of "objectivity, fairness, non-discrimination and transparency", and are not in line with WTO rules. The disclosure of the final ruling is based on the "facts" unilaterally determined by the EU, rather than the facts agreed by both sides. China firmly opposes and is highly concerned about this. China has always been committed to properly handling trade disputes with the EU through dialogue and consultation with the utmost sincerity. It is hoped that the EU will meet China halfway, and in a rational and pragmatic manner, speed up the discussion of appropriate solutions, and take practical actions to avoid the escalation of trade frictions.
