The Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet said on the X platform that STRK holders will vote for the first time on the mainnet to bring the STRK staking feature to the Starknet ecosystem. STRK holders will have the opportunity to express their opinions on the proposed minting mechanism and the conditions for modifying its parameters. According to its shared governance post, while the exact deployment timeline of the feature has not yet been determined, it is expected that the staking feature will be launched in October. The proposed voting timeline is for the test voting period (3 days) September 2 to September 4, 2024, and the voting period (5 days) September 9 to September 13, 2024.
