According to the Ethereum domain name service ENS, it has reached a cooperation with Base, a second-layer network supported by Coinbase, to further expand the on-chain identification function of base.eth subdomains. According to Base's disclosure on the X platform, the domain name service Basenames will be launched tomorrow. Users can apply for a unique base.eth username to make it easier to connect, collaborate and contribute on the chain. After Basenames goes live, all domains will be listed through a Dutch auction to give everyone a fair chance to get their favorite domain names and prevent robots from snapping up.
