U.S. stocks close: The three major stock indexes collectively close higher

U.S. stocks closed Monday with the Dow initially up 0.58 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.97 percent and the Nasdaq up 1.39 percent. Tesla (TSLA. O) gained 3 percent, NVIDIA (NVDA. O) gained 4.3 percent and Google (GOOG. O) gained 2 percent. The Nasdaq China Gold Dragon closed up 1.38 percent, Alibaba (BABA. N) rose nearly 1 percent, and Li Auto (LI. O) and XPeng Motors (XPEV. N) rose in the 4 percent line.
